WHAT WE BELIEVE

Grace United Church is a Christian community. We believe in God. We believe that God’s love was shared with us in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We seek to follow Jesus.

Grace United Church is part of the United Church of Canada. In this denomination, people of all sexual orientations and gender identities are an important part of Jesus’ church. These (or other) identities do not determine one’s faithfulness. What is more important is what we share: our reliance on God’s grace, God’s deep love for us, our trust in Jesus, the movement of the Holy Spirit in our hearts, and our commitment to following in Jesus’ way through prayer, worship and loving service.

This is a community on a journey. We don’t have all the answers, so we travel together and with Jesus. We are listening to hear where God is calling us and figuring out together what it means to be the Church here and now. Wherever you are on your faith journey, you are welcome here!
